In addition, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs is available 24 hours, with 38,500 sq.ft., 1,589 one armed bandits, 36 table games, and 4 restaurants. There are numerous other dominant Iowa casinos, including Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 sq.ft., 1,212 one armed bandits, and 39 table games.
A smaller Iowa gambling den is the Diamond Jo, a water based gambling den in Dubuque, with 17,813 sq.ft., 776 slots, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend river boat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 square feet, 535 slot machines, and 14 table games. An additional Iowa riverboat casino, The Isle of Capri, is open all day and night, with 24,939 sq.ft., 1,100 slot machines, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 sq.ft. riverboat gambling hall in Clinton, has 506 one armed bandits, 14 table games, live productions, and Thursday 21 events.
Iowa casinos provide a great deal of tax income to the state government of Iowa, which has enabled the funding of a good many commonwealth wide activities. Tourism has grown at a rapid percentage accompanied with the demand for processors and a gain in employment.
