There are many gambling halls located in the state, the biggest number being on stationary scows. The largest of the Iowa gambling halls is the Meswaki Bingo Casino Hotel, a Native American casino in Tama, with 127,669 sq.ft. of gambling room, 1,500 slot machines, 30 table games, such as 21, craps, roulette, and baccarat, and several varieties of poker; including 3 eatery’s, monthly shows, and casino instructions. Another substantial American Indian casino is the Winna Vegas, with 45,000 square feet, 668 slot machines, and 14 table games. Furthermore, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs never closes, with 38,500 sq.ft., 1,589 slot machines, 36 table games, and four eatery’s. There are many other dominant Iowa gambling halls, including Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 square feet, 1,212 slots, and 39 table games.

A smaller Iowa gambling hall is the Diamond Jo, a riverboat casino in Dubuque, with 17,813 sq.ft., 776 slot machines, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend Riverboat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 sq.ft., 535 slots, and 14 table games. An additional Iowa river based gambling den, The Isle of Capri, is open all hours, with 24,939 sq.ft., 1,100 slot machines, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 sq.ft. riverboat gambling hall in Clinton, has 506 one armed bandits, 14 table games, live entertainment, and Thursday chemin de fer events.

Iowa casinos offer an exceptional deal of tax revenue to the government of Iowa, which has allowed the budgeting of a lot of state wide activities. Tourism has gotten bigger at a rapid rate along with the requirement for companies and an increase in jobs. Iowa casinos have been instrumental to the expansion of the market, and the excitement for gambling in Iowa is across the board.
